With Christmas in the Country and all of our other Christmas festivities around the corner it is time for another campus spruce up. Join us on Saturday morning as we make our campus ready for the season ahead!

Christmas in the Country is just around the corner and we are so excited to be welcoming Bishop Williamston of the Lousiana Annual Conference as the featured speaker for the community prayer breakfast on Saturday, December 7th. Bishop Williamston will connect us to the heart of the season and energize us for all the weekend's festivities. Everyone is welcome!

Y'all know ACTS lunch is always delicious, but ACTS Thanksgiving lunch is next level delicious! Be sure to join us on Tuesday for great food and great company.

We heard there's a big game on Saturday night 🤣. But you are going to want to get up and make your way to SFUMC on Sunday morning. We'll wrap up our "Our Story" worship series and have a celebratory brunch after worship, a treat from us to you. Our kids will also start their rehearsals for our Christmas Program during JAM session. As always we'll have nursery care available. See you Sunday!

Remember, we start every Tuesday morning with a time of community prayer. Everyone is welcome for this time of connection with God and one another.

It's a new month which means its time for prayer breakfast. Join us tomorrow morning to fill your bellies and spirit.

The rain did NOT stop our fun last night at the Halloween Carnival! A huge thanks to all of our volunteers and everyone who joined us, the joy was contagious. And we give thanks for all the contributions that will go toward our West Feliciana Thanksgiving meal mission. If you have pics from last night, be sure to tag us!

Happy Halloween, St. Francisville. Sadly it looks like we are in for some rain tonight, but great news... our Halloween carnival is STILL ON. We've moved the games and the famous cake walk inside our fellowship hall. So get in as much trick or treating as you can and then join us inside for more Halloween fun.

On Sunday, as part of our "Our Story" worship series we engaged the practice of release, letting go of what has been holding us back and making room for what God has for us. Join us this coming Sunday for more of "Our Story" and to celebrate All Saints Day.

"No matter what confines, limits, or presses us, hear and receive this good news: God washes away what has been, making room for what can be; blurring our prayers into beauty and color and grace. Thanks be to God who makes us new – over and over and over again."

We loved participating in this year's West Feliciana Parish Hospital's "Paint the Town Pink" decorating contest in support of breast cancer awareness and research. And excited to say we placed 5th! A huge thanks to ELC parent, Morgan Hedrick and all of our ELC teachers and classes for making our display pinktacular!

We are celebrating a great response from our congregation supporting the creation of cleaning kits (flood buckets). Make plans to join us on Saturday, November 2nd at 9am Zachary United Methodist Church to assemble the kits alongside our fellow United Methodists.

A few happy memories of last year's Halloween Carnival as a reminder that this year's carnival is happening this Thursday from 6pm - 8pm. Everyone is welcome and all proceeds go to our Mission's Ministries.

Also, SFUMC folks we need your help decorating and setting up on Wednesday, October 30th at 5:30pm and don't forget if you are bringing a cake or desserts to have them to the Fellowship Hall by 4pm on the 31st. Thank you!

T-minus 1 week until our Halloween Carnival! A huge thanks to everyone who donated Halloween candy and a shout out to our high school youth for helping us pack it in preparation for the carnival. We will see you on Halloween night!

When you are out at Yellow Leaf Arts Festival supporting our local artists, be sure to stop by the St.Francisville United Methodist table and purchase a Jambalaya meal. All proceeds support our Thanksgiving meal ministry which provides meals to residents of West Feliciana Parish on Thanksgiving day!

Saturday is going to be a fun and full day in St. Francisville. Before you come out to Parker Park for the Yellow Leaf Arts Festival and buy a Jambalaya lunch from us, head over to Tractor Supply and get your car washed by Troop 61

Hurricanes Helene and Milton have left countless families and homes in disarray. And so UMCOR - United Methodist Committee On Relief has sent out a call for local congregations to create cleaning kits (aka flood buckets) to help residents begin the recovery process.
SFUMC will be partnering with other area UMCs to create these kits. Here are 4 ways you can participate in this mission:

1.Visit the Amazon list (see QR code and link in comments) and purchase needed items. Items will be shipped to the assembly sight at Zachary UMC.
2. Visit the Amazon list and purchase needed items locally, bring donations to SFUMC by November 2nd.
3. Donate Money (see QR code and link in comments) to help purchase items and/or cover the cost of kits (Choose Hurricane Relief). The funds will be held and disbursed through Zachary UMC.
4. Help assemble cleaning kits on Saturday, November 2nd at Zachary United Methodist Church (4205 Church St. Zachary, LA)

With the Halloween carnival and other fall activities right around the corner we are having a workday to spruce up and make ready our campus. Join us on Saturday at 8am, bring gloves and rakes if you have them. The weather is supposed to be great and there will be coffee!

Yesterday, in her message on Psalm 139 Rev. Allison gave us permission to check in with ourselves and to find ways prioritize our physical, mental, and spiritual health. So let's start this new week by doing just that.

We are loving this fall weather and the fact our Halloween carnival is just around the corner. Join us Halloween night for games, face painting, our famous cakewalk, concessions and more. Remember, all proceeds from the carnival go to our West Feliciana Thanksgiving meal ministry.

Last night Troop 61 hosted a Court of Honor, celebrating scouts who earned merits and the accomplishments of the whole Troop over the last months. They also honored Mr. Joe Kelley for his longtime support of the Troop and the scouts. Mark your calendars for the morning of Saturday, October 26 the Troop will be hosting a car wash fundraiser at Tractor Supply on HWY 61 and would love your support.

Open up the parts of our hearts that need your centering Word most. And then,

Puppies, kitties, bunnies, O my! We had a fun afternoon blessing the creatures who bring joy and comfort into our lives. Thanks to @gracechurchwfp for inviting us to be apart!

Today is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the name sake of our town and our church. While we worship God alone, we can draw inspiration from a saint like Francis who is known for his profound connection to creation, his dedication to humility, and his steadfast commitment to serving the 'least of these.' Join us tomorrow (10.5) in Parker Park at 4pm as we follow St. Francis' lead and bless the animals.

We are thrilled that Rev. Chad Brooks will be at SFUMC tomorrow, Saturday September 28th to lead us in a Congregational Workshop all about discipleship. And that he will also be preaching and leading worship alongside Rev. Allison on Sunday, September 29th. It's going to be a great weekend and we can't wait to see you Saturday and Sunday!

We are beginning to gear up for our Community Halloween Carnival. The first thing we need is donations of individually wrapped Halloween Candy. You can bring donations to the Robb House or Fellowship Hall. Thank you!
